Training Seminars for Instructors of Jewish Israeli Culture

Training Seminars for Instructors of Jewish Israeli Culture

The team of Ministry of Education (MoE) instructors of the school subject “Jewish Israeli Culture” undergo annual training to assist in leading the subject and embedding its contents. The annual training is a collaboration between the MoE and the Posen Foundation.

During these training opportunities, learners are presented with a wide array of contents and methods for teaching “Jewish-Israeli Culture”, incorporating experiential activities such as singing, field trips, as well as ideological and pedagogical debates. Various unique sites are chosen for these learning seminars, with the goal of introducing instructors to different aspects of literature, creation and research in the field of Jewish culture, among them: Bialik House, The National Library, The Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot and the Tel-Aviv Museum.

The training includes two two-day seminars, which provide a spotlight on initiatives of Jewish renewal in the educational system and in the public sphere throughout the country.
