This day is the high point for students taking Machshevet Israel in high schools (11th and 12th grades). Students come from secular schools all over Israel; from cities and towns as well as from villages and kibbutzim and from different and diverse social backgrounds.
The purpose of this assembly is to bring together students from across the country and from diverse social backgrounds to partake in a day of social and educational experiences arousing an exchange of ideas and emphasizing its relevance to their Jewish-Israeli identity. In these gatherings, students undergo significant experiences both by participating in workshops and through the encounter with peers.
Past years experience have taught of this day’s importance for the students; during the day they go through meaningful experiences in the workshops as well as in meeting their peers from all over the country.
