Makom is a comprehensive, three-year program that operates in towns and regional councils and facilitates communal transformation. Makom operates in multiple, interconnected spheres in a given community: in schools, with parents and at the municipal level. Activities span formal and informal education in schools, teacher training, child-parent activities, Shabbat and holiday celebration, Beit Midrash and social action and more.
The program is developed in dialogue with school principals and community leaders, and is tailored to address local interests and priorities. Educators and key community members are trained and supervised, empowering them to create locally relevant, sustainable frameworks for Jewish learning, social action and spiritual expression.
